Riding the Highway

I’ve already sounded the alarm on Brad Mehldau’s new album, Highway Rider. Here, via Nonesuch and the jazz blog Nextbop, is a behind-the-scenes EPK. And yes, Jon Brion is exactly that animated about the state of jazz (though, I suspect, secretly a bit less cynical).

wow... I'm not the biggest Mehldau fan, but now i'm really excited for this... thanks for posting and sharing!

I'm very excited to hear this album. Its so refreshing to see an innovative player like Mehldau working with a producer outside of the genre who has such a unique style. Also great to see Matt Chamberlain on drums.
